Partnering with Kilnbridge Structures
Historic procurement models often embed passive fire protection measures within other trade packages, resulting in uncertain risks and challenges such as;
- Scope gaps
- Multiple points of accountability
- Non-compliant installations and interfaces
- Costly remediation works
- Future defects and reputational risk
Featured Project
Sadler’s Wells and BBC Studios
Sadler’s Wells East stands as the cultural centrepiece of Stratford Waterfront, a new creative district designed to enrich the legacy of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Appointed by main contractor Laing O’Rourke, Kilnbridge has been entrusted with delivering the passive fire protection package across this complex, multi‑use estate – a responsibility central to the long‑term safety and resilience of the development.
Kilnbridge’s package extended across exhibition halls, retail and residential units, two hotels and a school. The works included penetration sealing, Durasteel and Promat encasement boarding, cavity barriers, beam cladding and fire barriers such as curtain wall systems.
Working closely with Laing O’Rourke and the project designers and fire engineers, Kilnbridge helped specify and develop tailored passive fire protection solutions that met the project’s stringent performance criteria whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Group
Kilnbridge comprises four distinct operational businesses, each operating independently across different markets, but working together as One Kilnbridge in any combination to meet our customers’ requirements.
Together, they provide a highly flexible comprehensive suite of services that address our customers’ needs across the entire lifecycle of a structure.
